International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA)

IFLA is the international body for library associations and ALIA is an active member. The Association is represented by the ALIA President and/or a senior officer, at the annual World Library and Information Congress. Since 2016, there has been an Australian Caucus meeting, dinner or reception, organised by ALIA. Australian Caucus Terms of Reference 13 August 2016.

ALIA is a member of this program, along with 75 other countries, and we are committed to advocacy in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.

Library Map of the World

With input from other library organisations, ALIA has provided Australian data to the IFLA Library Map of the World project.
