Join us for the first ALIA Government and Special Libraries (GaSP) panel event of 2026, The Value of Specialised Libraries and Information Services.
The GaSP sector contains a diverse range of organisations, with rich collections and deep professional knowledge. Because of this complexity, it can sometimes be challenging to communicate the value that our specialised services bring to an organisation - even to others within the sector.
To highlight the significance and variety of these roles, we have invited 3 information professionals from health, parliamentary and science libraries to speak about their individual contexts and expertise, and share how their contributions support and shape the institutions they reside in.
We expect some great insights into fields or services you might not be familiar with, and there will also be a Q&A at the end of the talks for listeners to engage with the subjects raised. We look forward to welcoming you to this knowledge-sharing opportunity.
