Artlab Australia is a government agency of Arts South Australia in the South Australian Department of Premier and Cabinet.
Artlab was established in June 1985 and is the largest conservation centre in the Southern hemisphere.
Clients include members of the public, private and corporate collectors, local councils, art galleries, museums and historic houses all over Australia.
Artlab maintains the State’s collections for the Art Gallery of South Australia, South Australian Museum, State Library of South Australia and History SA.
The tour will start at 2 pm on Wednesday 8 August.
Please meet at 1.50 pm in Reception, where you will be asked to place your bags and phones in a locker.
The tour will run for one hour, with the option of catching up with colleagues over coffee after the tour at the nearby Aroma Cafe in the State Library.
Artlab is actually located off Kintore Avenue in Morgan Thomas Lane which runs behind the State Library of South Australia.
Thr building is situated in the first courtyard on the left beyond the security gate.
As you pass through the boom gate, you will see the Artlab sign on the red brick building.
