About the Job
As the Acquisition and Collection Coordinator, you will coordinate the team who are responsible for the acquisition and processing of monographs, journals and databases in digital, electronic and print formats to support the University’s teaching, learning and research. This position monitors the budget for acquisitions valued at over $9,000,000 annually and provides opportunity to lead and coordinate the team acquiring, processing and managing the Library’s information resources.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position, you will have tertiary qualifications in Information Management or equivalent skills and knowledge along with extensive experience in the acquisition of eBooks, monographs, journals, databases and audio-visual resources and an understanding of licencing and copyright implications. You will be able to demonstrate experience in adapting emergent technologies including the proven ability to assess and integrate technology to deliver library services and experience in leading an information management team, including fostering an effective and service oriented culture in a complex environment.
Eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association or relevant professional computing association and evidence of strong commitment to the continuing development of technical knowledge and skills will be an advantage.
