Team Leader and Regional Coordinator – Library Services

Library Services aims to inform and inspire the Brisbane community through a rich program of activities and events, providing equitable access to print and ‘e’ collections, and new and emerging technologies at the network of 33 library branches located across four Brisbane regions, the Mobile Library, and City Archives.

We are seeking an enthusiastic person to lead and facilitate the Library Services' East Regional Management Team, based at Holland Park Library.

As Team Leader and Regional Coordinator you will be responsible for leading a branch team and strategically facilitating a networked Leadership Team to ensure that the most effective operations across Library Services are implemented. You will have the opportunity to ensure Performance Goals and Strategic Outcomes are achieved whilst providing effective leadership through working closely with the library Branch Management Team on behalf of libraries in the East Region.

To be successful in this role you will require some of the following:

  • A strong customer focus
  • proven ability to plan, implement and manage change through formulating, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures which contribute to the strategic direction of Library Services
  • proven ability to lead and influence a Networked Leadership team to achieve regional outcomes including collection development, promotions, asset management, and human resource management
  • highly developed interpersonal skills that enable you to lead a team, manage complex issues and maintain effective working relationships
  • ability to maintain and analyse statistical information regarding branch or regional goals and KPIs to ensure decisions are based on objective information
  • high quality written and oral communication skills including the delivery of business reports, correspondence and presentations.
