The National Library of Australia (NLA) is a medium APS agency that employs staff in a variety of functions ranging from information management through to marketing and system development. The NLA develops and maintains a comprehensive collection of materials related to Australians and Australia.
The Library's Information and Technology Division has a non-ongoing vacancy for an EL 1, Applications Developer for initial term of 12 months.
The Application Developer will have an opportunity to lead significant, complex, high-risk software development activities. They are also responsible for managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, service providers and project teams, supervising contractors, and developing, coaching and mentoring junior staff.
The Library is looking for someone who has demonstrated high-level competency in Java programming and database design, and are commitment to building shared NLA goals.
