Monika has 28 years of library experience in Australia and the UK.  Serving on the ALIA Board 2016–18 has strengthened her focus on building skills, services and infrastructure that support libraries and the people that work in them; alongside her focus to ensure the sustainability of our professional association.  In line with ALIA's strategic priorities of Leadership, Advocacy, Members, Education, Professional Development, and Future Proofing, she supports the profession to respond to environmental challenges, build confidence and resilience among members, and find creative solutions that demonstrate how and why libraries matter in a just and inclusive Australian society.
