What I’d like to accomplish:

As I have done throughout my 37-year career in libraries, I intend to optimise my position on the ALIA Board to promote and advocate for the role of libraries in all sectors.

The aggregated capacity of ALIA, through its diverse membership, provides the Board with a unique opportunity to showcase the critical role that libraries and their staff play in the many and varied constituencies they serve.

Additionally, I intend to support the continuation of ALIA's excellent representation of Australian library achievements through overseas associations and forums such as IFLA.  We have lots to offer on the global library scene.
