At the conclusion of five years in the ALIA CPD Scheme with the accumulation of 200 or more hours of CPD, financial ALIA Associate, Library Technician and Allied Field members are invited to apply for Distinguished Certified Professional status which includes a listing on the ALIA website and in the next ALIA Annual Report with the honour of using the post nominals
AALIA (DCP) or ALIATec (DCP)
To apply for this eminent status members must fulfil the following selection criteria:
• be an active member of the ALIA CPD scheme for a minimum of five years;
• accumulate a minimum of 30 CPD hours and learning outcomes annually;
• accumulate a minimum of 200 hours and learning outcomes during their five years ALIA CPD Scheme membership;
• continue to meet ALIA CPD scheme compliance requirements;
• be able to demonstrate professional/technical and personal knowledge and skills;
• be currently employed in the Australian library and information sector or an allied sector.
