Last month, ALIA CEO Cathie Warburton, Regional Engagement Management Emily Wilson and ALIA Board member Kathryn Eyre were in Sydney to present Membership Pins to two ALIA Members.

Congratulations go to:

25-year membership – Matthew Griffiths

Matthew has worked in the library and information services industry for 30 years, starting at the State Library of NSW in 1993.

His career has included work in special libraries and 21 years in public libraries.

Within NSW Library Technicians Group, he has enjoyed organising visits to libraries for professional peers, as well as organising ALIA events such as a Library Technicians Symposium and a New Librarians’ Symposium.

Matthew received his 25-year ALIA Membership pin at the State Library of NSW Library Bar during the ALIA NSW end of year celebration last week. Congratulations Matthew.

40-year membership – Eunice Sarif

Eunice has worked in the private sector as Librarian all her working life and has loved it!. She says the greatest satisfaction she has had as a Librarian is finding, locating and delivering “hard to get” references and research that are not easily obtainable.

Eunice was presented with her 25-year ALIA Membership pin at the State Library of NSW Library Bar during the ALIA NSW end of year celebration on November 23rd. Congratulations Eunice.
