Queen's Birthday Honours 2021

Two distinguished ALIA Members have been awarded the Medal in the General Division (OAM) in today’s Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Our heartfelt congratulations go to Roxanne Missingham, past-President of ALIA, former Parliamentary Librarian and now University Librarian at the Australian National University in Canberra, and to Professor Kathleen Gray, at the University of Melbourne, who has been an active and valued contributor to ALIA’s Health Libraries Australia Group for many years.

Roxanne received her award ‘For service to the library and information sciences’ and Kathleen ‘For service to medicine through digital health education’.

Other OAM recipients with links to the Association were Barbie Bates, from Paint the Town Read ‘For service to children’ and Virginia Cox ‘For service to librarianship’.

Our congratulations go to all those honoured in today's awards for their service to communities across Australia.
