ALIA Resource Sharing

About

ALIA Resource Sharing Special Interest Group (SIG) aims to facilitate networking, support professional development and resources with a focus on Resource Sharing for the Library and Information sector.  This may include professional learning and social events through to the creation and revision of sector resources specifically the Australian Interlibrary Resource Sharing (ILRS) Code.

ALIA Resource Sharing SIG aims to bring together and enable members with an interest in Resource Sharing to engage, participate, develop and advise in relation to the area of interest. Formerly known as ALIA’s Interlibrary Lending and Advisory Committee (ILAC), the group transitioned from an Advisory Committee to a Special Interest Group in 2024.

New Executive Committee Roles - EOIs Open

We are seeking expressions of interest (EOI) from passionate library staff who work in or have expertise in the resource sharing and interlibrary loan environment in Australia to fill several vacant Executive Committee roles (3-4 members).

If you have a passion for resource sharing, we’d love you to join us. Applicants should be willing to commit to a 3-year term, and be able to attend short monthly online meetings and actively contribute to the work of the ALIA Resource Sharing SIG. Don’t forget that we are starting a new professional development year, and this is a great opportunity to learn new skills and give back to your Association.

Please submit an expression of interest of no more than one page detailing your position, a short description of your professional background, and a short statement of why you are interested in joining the committee. Expressions of interest should be forwarded to Amanda Magnussen (ALIA RS SIG chair) [email protected] by 22 July.
