Share it - Resource Sharing Futures

About the Event

Journal articles, ebooks, pictures, music -library users want them, they want them cheaply, and they want them now (or preferably yesterday).

But can libraries continue to meet their needs while also balancing the books? With an expanding marketplace characterised by increasing competition from alternative providers, could it be time for libraries to bow out of the resource-sharing arena? Or do we simply need to think about doing things differently?

What's the future of resource sharing? Does it have a future?

Proudly brought to you by ALIA and Libraries Australia, Share it brings together international, national and local speakers to grapple with these and other resource-sharing dilemmas - and to consider the way forward.

Whether you're at the interlibrary loan and document delivery coal face, or facing tough decisions about the viability of resource sharing in your organisation, Share it will get you talking, planning and thinking about the future.
