Bacchus Marsh Grammar is moving forward with the development of 2 new library facilities which will house both Library Services and ICT under the Director of Digital Engagement and Learning Resources. This position will have a leadership role in the development of these new facilities and the services they provide. This is primarily a Greenfields position and will allow for the incumbent to develop relationships with teaching staff and develop services to assist in the improvement of student outcomes. On top of this the incumbent will develop a team of teacher librarians and library technicians to ensure the facilities and services are appropriately resourced and interact with ICT to improve digital outcomes and that the service desk meets the needs of our growing customer base.
The Head of Library Services, under the direction of the Director of Digital Engagement and Learning Resource has oversight and responsibility of all aspects of Library Service within Bacchus Marsh Grammar. The person in this role is required to think strategically and influence curriculum development, developing new and innovative ideas and collaborate with staff to ensure growth of students capabilities and they engage in their learning experience.
The Head of Library Services requires communication, change management and project management skills, and provides clarity of direction and displays leadership. The Head of Library Services must have a demonstrated capability to lead a team of library staff and work closely with ICT to help deliver teaching and learning, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
This is a full time, ongoing position. This position will be primarily based at the Maddingley Campus, however will be required to work across both the Maddingley and Woodlea Campus.
