Keeping School Libraries Relevant

Join ALIA Schools, as they make a return to the face to face mode for professional learning to explore how to keep school libraries relevant.

Event Description

Keeping school libraries relevant is at the core of those who work in the school library field. Providing successful learning experiences enables students to make positive contributions in life and to society. As a place for learning how does the school library keep abreast of current trends? What responses should the school library make to ensure that all students thrive as learners? How does the school library judge its relevancy?

Our keynote speaker, Dr Kay Oddone will discuss the development of A.I. and its impact on schools and school libraries. Helen Wynd will present on the school library set up in the Nirimba Precinct. In addition there will be a series of workshops to unpack the value of using data and the best way to do this, plus examining some recent resources that support the work of school library staff.
Join ALIA Schools, as they make a return to the face to face mode for professional learning to explore answers to these questions.
This seminar is for primary and secondary teacher librarians and others involved in or supporting learning and teaching programs within a school library context.
