Equipping Students as Information Seekers

Equipping Students as Information Seekers

Event Description

ALIA Schools' final webinar for 2022 will focus on a whole school approach to information literacy within a school context and a sector context. Presenters Lori Korodaj, Teacher Librarian at Lake Tuggeranong College ACT and Carmel Grimmett, Library Coordinator, Department of Education and Training NSW, will share their experiences implementing such programs within their school communities.

The ability to locate, manage and use the information to create information products using a variety of inquiry methods is an essential component of any information literacy program. A framework is required to ensure all targeted skills are identified and taught strategically and sequentially within the context of the school's curriculum.

This webinar is for primary and secondary teacher librarians and others involved in or supporting learning and teaching programs within a school library context.

The Zoom link will be provided approximately 5 days before the event. A recording will also be made available to all participants who have finalised their payment within 5 business days of the webinar.
