Event Description
For their first Webinar of 2025 ALIA LARK is pleased to present reports of two research programs focussing connections and collaborations in public libraries.
First we shall hear from Dr Kay Oddone and colleagues about the findings of their research about how school and public libraries might leverage their complementary strengths to benefit both students and the community. They will be followed by Dr Jane Garner talking about her research on how libraries are collaborating with external organisations to better serve people experiencing homelessness and poverty, and the challenges and opportunities such collaborations bring.
Attendees will leave this presentation inspired about potential opportunities for collaborations and research in public libraries.
Guest speakers are Kay Oddone presenting on behalf of Mary Carroll, Kasey Garrison Krystal Gagen Spriggs and herself on the topic "Essential Connections: Enhancing Collaboration Between School and Public Libraries in Australia" and Jane Garner on the topic of Supporting Vulnerable Library Users: Partnerships and Service Provision.
All speakers are from Charles Sturt University.
