Sarah Thompson
Sarah Thompson has been in the library industry for over a decade. Currently she is the manager of Manly Library, part of the Northern Beaches Library Service. Sarah started her library career as a Library Assistant at Warringah Council before joining Pittwater Council as the Local Studies Librarian at Mona Vale Library. Sarah has presented at the Libraries, Technology and the Future Inc. (VALA) conference where she spoke about the facilitation of youth designed websites and at the Switch Conference (NSW Public Library Association) about transforming a vintage caravan into a mobile library. Sarah has experience presenting and running workshops for community groups, council staff, and schools on grant writing, project management, staff culture, traveling exhibitions, local studies history, and preservation and conservation. She has facilitated history walks and heritage house tours.
