Rebecca Muir

Rebecca (“Bec”) Muir is a librarian with ten years’ experience in the industry across both public and academic libraries. She currently works as the Manager, Libraries West with Victoria University and is a Doctoral Candidate with Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga. Bec’s research focuses on diversity and disability in the library and information sector, from the job advertisement through to service offerings and library staff training. In her spare time, she enjoys attempting to knit. Bec has presented at numerous professional and academic conferences and forums. This has included the Indexing Society of Canada (ISC/SCI); Cooperative Action by Victorian Academic Libraries (CAVAL); CAVAL Research and Information Group (CRIG); INCITE in Conversation, Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE); the Annual Meeting of the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T); and the International Conference on Diversity in Communities, Organizations and Nations.
