Kerryn Whiteside
Kerryn is the Adult and Community Programs and Engagement Officer at Moreton Bay Region Libraries. Her roles there include community liaison and developing our diverse 18+ offerings. Kerryn’s brief includes organising events and programs on everything from making beeswax wraps to writing wills. She also looks after our Readers and Writers programs such as Book Clubs, Author events and Write around Moreton Bay events for writers. A former English and drama teacher with a background in bookselling and publishing and degrees in Literature and Librarianship, Kerryn's love affair with reading and writing and helping others crosses careers, continents and centuries. Kerryn also has a passion for inclusive programming which has seen me work with local community organisations to create dementia-friendly programs, programs supporting seniors to bridge the digital divide and programs to support people living with disabilities in the community.
