2019 Annual general meeting
The Annual General Meeting of Members of the Australian Library and Information Association Limited (ALIA) was held on Tuesday 21 May 2019 at the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies in conjunction with the 2019 ALIA ACT Leadership & Innovation Member Forum.

A number of amendments to the ALIA Constitution were considered by Members at the meeting and passed unanimously. The ALIA Annual General Meeting is held in May.
Standard items considered at the AGM include:

Annual Report including the financial report.

President and Chief Executive Officer reports.

Confirmation of election of Directors.
Procedures for calling and running general meetings are outlined in the ALIA Constitution and the Corporations Act.
agenda
An agenda is made available prior to each AGM and provides information on where and when the meeting will be held and the matters to be discussed including any special business such as amendments to the Constitution.
proxy vote
If Members are unable to attend an AGM but still wish to vote on an issue to be discussed, they may nominate a proxy using the form provided for each meeting.
webinar
ALIA Members may also be able to attend the AGM via webinar or other electronic means as advised in advance by the ALIA team.
