2026 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of Members of the Australian Library and Information Association Limited (ALIA) will be held:

Monday 11 May 2026
5.30pm – 6.00pm AEST
Room 2, Level 1, Grand Pavillion, Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, James Ruse Drive, Rosehill NSW 2142

Please arrive by 5:15pm to ensure you have enough time to register. 

 

General Information

The ALIA Annual General Meeting is held in May.

Standard items considered at the AGM include:

  • Annual Report including the financial report

  • President report 

  • Confirmation of election of Directors.

Procedures for calling and running general meetings are outlined in the ALIA Constitution and the Corporations Act.

Agenda

An agenda is made available prior to each AGM and provides information on where and when the meeting will be held and the matters to be discussed including any special business such as amendments to the Constitution.  

Proxies

If Members are unable to attend the AGM in person (including via the webinar) but would like to vote on an issue to be discussed, they may nominate a proxy using the form provided for each meeting.
