Our NSS celebrations at Ulverstone Primary School, on the North Westcoast of Tasmania, comprised student watching the author read his book during a whole school assembly (approx.: 420 students) and then classes came to the library to see 3 drama students from the local high school preform a skit of the book. We also had lunch time craft activities in the library (which ended up going to 2 days).
All activities were very well received and many children told me they enjoyed the two different versions of the book. The book choice was a really good one, with a somewhat broader scope.
