The University Library at the University of Western Australia provides innovative and client-focussed services to support the University in becoming a leading global university. This is achieved through the provision of excellent staff, services, collections and spaces and a focus on the deep understanding of user needs through collaboration and partnership.
The University Library provides six library buildings open over 100 hours per week. The Library’s clients include 25,000 students, and 4,000 academic and professional staff The University Library has a strategic objective to develop and deliver initiatives to improve the student experience and proactively seeks and responds to feedback. In a 2015 survey, we received the highest overall student satisfaction rating of all Group of Eight Libraries.
Supporting students through their studies, the University Library offers extensive collections, discovery tools, student IT support, course materials, a range of study spaces, advice and support from librarians, and more.
In addition, the University Library provides vital infrastructure and services to support and facilitate research excellence at UWA. The Library plays a leading role in assisting the University to expose its research to the world and maximise its benefit and impact.
