The 9th River of Opportunities symposium is coming to Ballarat in October.
The weekend event will be held all day on Saturday 22nd October and the following Sunday morning 23rd October.

The registrations for ALIA Schools second Professional Development activity My country, my story: reading matters seminar are now open. This seminar aims to explore ways of engaging students to read and develop a love of literature. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the issues through an author presentation, a panel session and a workshop.

The Australian Libraries Copyright Committee is pleased to announce it will be running its next copyright training session at the State library of Victoria on 18 April.
The International Edible Book Festival, held over many years by the Vic Specials group, is the one day of the year where our inner bakers and Masterchefs are revealed and revered. Over the years there have been some amazing creations, covering the classics (Green Eggs and Ham, the Hungry Caterpillar, Cloudstreet, Charles Dickens), to the more contemporary (50 Shades of Grey), to the downright zany (remember the KFC tub?).
