ALIA Darling Downs

The ALIA Darling Downs Group provides a platform for library practitioners in the Darling Downs area to network with other librarians and library technicians, stay up-to-date with library practices and attend professional developments events. Our focus is to facilitate discussions relevant to library issues affecting the Darling Downs area. By doing so the group aims to ensure the long term involvement of Darling Downs library staff in matters pertaining to the profession.

ALIA HLA: Advanced Searching workshop (Brisbane)

ALIA HLA will be hosting this full day workshop which will be presented by Carol Lefebvre from the UK.

This full day session will provide opportunities to learn new techniques, to discuss best approaches, to share insights and to assess variations in current best practice. The workshop will be facilitated by Carol Lefebvre who is experienced in literature searching to inform systematic reviews and HTAs and in conducting research into the evidence base for information retrieval.
