ALIA webinar: Proposed changes to Constitution

In our 80th year, 2017, it is appropriate to recognise that the context within which our Association exists, the ALIA Constitution, warrants reflection. Like past leaders in our profession our Board is proposing a change to the ALIA Constitution to recognise current concerns of our age and the global context in which we work and live.

The board is proposing that we include ‘environment’ in the first Object:

ALIA ALIES

Australasian Libraries in Emergency and Security (ALIES) ALIES is a cooperative information network which aims to serve and support the common interests of law enforcement, emergency services, and security agencies connected with human, natural, industrial and technological events and disasters.

ALIA Prison Libraries Group

ALIA Prison Libraries Group promotes the interests of prison and detention centre libraries and those who use and operate them. It provides opportunities for the sharing of information and resources to enable the provision of best possible library services to adults and children housed in all forms of detention.
