Canberra welcomes you to the 2018 Art Libraries Society of Australia and New Zealand (ARLIS/ANZ) conference held at the National Portrait Gallery (Day one) and the National Gallery of Australia (Day two), Thursday 4 October – Friday 5 October, with welcome drinks on the evening of Wednesday 3 October.

The ALIA CRR (Canberra and Region Retirees) inaugural event was held on Wednesday 7 March and was attended by nine retirees from many different library backgrounds. As planned, some people came at 11am for coffee and some came later for lunch and some stayed for both.
The next event is booked at Bookplate staring at 11am on Wednesday 4 April with an open ended finish time.
Come for a chat and to connect and keep in touch with fellow retirees. All welcome!
ALIA Canberra and Region Retirees is now an officially recognised ALIA special interest group.
The inaugural social event will be held between 11am and 1pm on Wednesday 7 March 2018 at Bookplate, National Library of Australia. Come along for coffee, brunch or lunch - connect with other retired Library staff from Canberra and the surrounding region. Visitors from further afield are very welcome.
The ALIA Canberra and Region Retirees Group aims to provide social gatherings for all retired library people who would like to keep in touch with other retirees.

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching which means that it is time for the annual ACT Library Lovers’ Day Breakfast! All ALIA members and fellow Library Lovers welcome.
This year we are heading to Muse in the East Hotel in Kingston.
For just $20 per person, you can choose one of an egg and bacon roll, house baked granola, a fresh fruit plate or two eggs your way on toast. Top it off with lovely fresh croissants shared amongst your table, some excellent coffee or a cup of tea.
