Rob Thomson has withdrawn his nomination in the 2019 ALIA Board Election in order to take on the role of ALIA NSW State Manager.
Rob Thomson said, ‘I was keen to contribute to the Association one way or another and I'm looking forward to working with ALIA Members in the state to build on the great range of events, activities and networking opportunities’.
As a result of his withdrawal there will be no ALIA Board 2019 elections. Vicki Edmunds, Manager, Libraries & Customer Services, Blue Mountains City Council, and Kim Sherwin, Arup University Leader, Australasia Arup, have been declared elected unopposed as ALIA Directors and will take office at the ALIA Annual General meeting on Tuesday 21 May 2019.
Viv Barton, Service Lead - Libraries & Lifelong Learning, City of Stirling, has nominated and formally been elected unopposed to the position of Vice-President (President-elect).
Following the ALIA Annual General Meeting on 21 May 2019, Viv Barton will assume the role of Vice-President until 2020 when she will become the President of ALIA.
