Crowdfunding success for Share the Fare

Wednesday, 28 March 2018, Canberra: The Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) is pleased to announce that through the generosity of our Members, a bursary has been raised to facilitate one regional Asia-Pacific library and information professional's attendance at the Asia-Pacific Library and Information Conference (APLIC) on the Gold Coast 30 July – 2 August 2018.

Thanks to those who donated through the ALIA crowdfunding campaign, one regional Asia-Pacific library and information professional will have the opportunity to learn, share, and collaborate with their international industry peers and take the knowledge gained back to their community.

The crowdfunding initiative was prompted by the ALIA Board and fits with the 20172018 President’s theme of international affairs.

The campaign raised $1,485 towards the $3,000 target and the balance will be made up to ensure that the bursary is sufficient to attend APLIC2018 and take the knowledge they learn back to their region. The conference attendance fee will also be donated by ALIA.
