ALIA Information Online 2017 Conference - Day 1

It's day one of the ALIA Information Online 2017 Conference being held in Sydney and it's workshop day. 

Dr Kate Davis, University of Southern Queensland (see above) , was one of the presenters in the workshop:' Information experience design: improving library customers' experiences of information'. It was also faciltated by Dr Elham Sayyad Abdi, Kathleen Smeaton, Queensland University of Technology.

 

 

ALIA Presidentt Tricia Genat (left) greeted ALIA Members who came to the workshops. She's seen here with Louise Denoon from the State Library of Queensland (right) who was one of the presenters in the worshop 'Wikimedia commons: a hands-on introduction for GLAMs'.

 

 

Bhuva Narayan (above) talked about Netflix and IMDB - a great case study of of big data. 

Other workshops included 'Data in Action', 'Strategic thinking and action for the 21st century information professional' Evaluating tools for data curation' and 'Digital tools and methods for digital humanities'.
