The ALIA NSW Library Technicians Group is holding a Group Committee Meeting on Tuesday 4th March 2014 at Club Burwood RSL, 96 Shaftesbury Road, Burwood (NOT the Burwood Road Club with the same name) to elect a new committee for 2014. All office-bearer positions will become vacant. The minimum ALIA requirement is Convenor, Treasurer and Secretary. Other office-bearer positions as the committee chooses will be considered. Following this, planning of events and activities for the coming year will take place and allocation of duties will be formed.
The Group provides a range of professional development activities, site visits and social opportunities throughout the year. ALIA requires Group Committee Members be Personal Members or Institutional Members of ALIA. Benefits of belonging to a committee such as this include:-

· Seeking opportunities to develop new skills, in particular around marketing, communication, team management
