ALIA VIC Library Technicians - visit to Bargoonga Nganjin, North Fitzroy Library

ALIA members and non-members are welcome to join us on a visit to the newly opened Bargoonga Nganjin, North Fitzroy Library.

Bargoonga Nganjin means 'Gather Everybody' in Woiwurrung, the language of the Wurundjeri people.
Over three levels, the site is home to a library, maternal child health service, playgroup spaces, Council customer service centre, community meeting rooms, exhibition space and a spectacular roof top garden. The library provides digital literacy programs, regular children's story time sessions, creative programs and events, that includes author talks, panel discussions, films and music performances as well as events in community languages.

Public transport: West Preston no. 11 tram (via Collins St in the city, through Brunswick St and St Georges Rd) – Tram stop no. 21 (Alfred Crescent)

Cost: Gold coin donation

Please join us afterwards for lunch at the Parkview Hotel, 131/137 Scotchmer Street, Fitzroy North from 1.00pm onwards.
