Lunchtime talk: International Network of Library Innovators (INELI), an organiser’s and a participant’s experience
Presenters: Libby Cass and Shannon Sutton, National Library of Australia
Date: Thursday 8th June
Place: Ferguson Room, National Library of Australia
INELI Oceania (http://www.inelioceania.net/) is based on the highly successful International Network of Library Innovators (INELI), a project of the Global Libraries initiative of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which since 2011 has provided emerging library leaders with opportunities to connect with each other - to explore new ideas, to experiment with new services and to learn from one another.
The program is supported by a number of peak library organisations in Australia and New Zealand and is guided by a Steering Committee representing local program partners and funders: ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association); LIANZA (Library and Information Association of New Zealand Aotearoa) and NSLA (National and State Libraries of Australasia). Come along and hear Libby Cass (a member of the steering committee) and Shannon Sutton (a participant in the program) share their experiences of the program.
