The MAAS Research Library is a reference library supporting the exhibitions, publications and programs of the Museum. The Research Library collection dates from 1880 and its subject specialties reflect the diverse collecting areas of the Museum.

ALIA CRR Connect and Chat

ALIA CRR (Canberra and Region Retirees) next Connect and Chat event will be held from 11am Wednesday 1 August 2018 at Bookplate, NLA.

This is a monthly event that allows retirees and those aspiring to retire to keep in touch with Library folk from Canberra and surrounding regions. All are welcome and there is no need to book, just turn up.

Have you ever wanted to present at a conference? Maybe you’re considering submitting a proposal to NLS9? Or looking to build you conference presenting confidence. There is a lot to consider – submission guidelines, fitting into conference themes, presentation format, developing a presentation style, and sticking to a word count.

CityLibraries Townsville would like to invite TropicALIA members to a special event. We can't reveal the identity of our very special guest speaker, but can say they have travelled many thousands of kilometres to be here. They are an experienced and highly regarded library speaker, writer, teacher and researcher.There will be a chance to network with colleagues from other libraries, listen to a presentation, and participate in a Q&A with the speaker.Morning tea will be provided. The event is free.
