ALIA CRR (Canberra and Region Retirees) Connect and Chat

ALIA CRR (Canberra and Region Retirees) Connect and Chat event is on Wednesday 7 August 2019 at Bookplate at the National Library of Australia.

Connect and Chat is held once a month and the aim is to for Library sector people who have retired to keep in touch.

We start at 11am with some people coming for coffee and some joining in later for lunch. 

For your diaries here are the dates through to November:

  • 6 November

Interstate visitors are very welcome.

ALIA Vic Trivia Night

It's time for ALIA Vic's annual trivia night. This year we're going to the Glenferrie Hotel in Hawthorn, come along and put all the fantastic trivia we accumulate as librarians to good use.

New Librarians' Symposium Wrap Up - ACT

The New Librarians' Symposium (NLS9) was held in Adelaide on 6-7 July 2019.
Presenters and delegates attended from all over Australia and other countries and discussed many important issues in the Library sector and the GLAM industry.

ALIA Vic Game Night

ALIA Vic invites you to come along to a fun, low-key board game night! Bring a friend, bring your family, or come by yourself and enjoy an evening of board games, delicious food, and the company of your fellow library industry colleagues.


A wide variety of board games will be available, including all the classics such as Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary, Scrabble, Risk, Monopoly, Guess Who, and heaps more.

ALIA SA University of South Australia Library tour

Come and join us for a tour of the University of South Australia's Jeffrey Smart Building and Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Library. 

On the day of the tour we will be meeting on the ground level of the Jeffrey Smart Building at 3.45pm for a 4pm start. 

We are planning to book a table for dinner at Don Don Korean BBQ (

Please note: dinner will be at your own expense, however ALIA SA will book a table.
