As a Library Services Coordinator, you will lead a key Library service support team, and act as shift leader for all staff while on rostered shifts. Reporting to a Library Services Manager, you will work collaboratively with other Service Coordinators and service teams across the Library, and with cross-campus partners, in the development and delivery of physical and online frontline services.
Your Services Coordinator portfolio will be Service Partnerships, Enquiries & Training, leading a team in the coordination of our enquiry services in both face to face and virtual environments, including the management of enquiry tools and channels, and the coordination of related training, procedures and referral processes. This role will be heavily focussed on ensuring that the delivery of the Library’s information services is of high quality, accurate and fit for purpose to meet emerging client needs.
As shift leader you will work on a rotating roster, coordinating and coaching a diverse group of people on shift, ensuring the safety of all clients, and taking charge of the library building outside of core hours.
You will have experience in leading a team in a busy and changing environment, in building and managing collaborative partnerships, and in being solution and service improvement oriented. You are comfortable in working in an online environment and have the ability to adapt to changing technologies.
Experience in coordinating staff training programs, particularly in relation to the provision of high quality, accurate information services will be an advantage. Success in this role requires your ability to recognise and analyse service trends and proactively implement improvements within your area of responsibility.
