Melton City Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated youth worker to proactively engage with young people utilising library facilities to support positive and constructive behaviour. As one of Australia's fastest growing communities, the city’s population is expected to double over the next 15 years.
This position will develop and deliver an innovative range of engagement programs, activities and initiatives to support positive youth interaction in Council’s libraries. With relevant experience in youth engagement, the successful candidate will use community development principles to engage proactively with young people.
As a member of the Libraries team, the successful applicant must be available to work four evening shifts each week during library opening hours, Saturday morning shifts as part of ordinary hours, and have availability for weekend overtime shifts as required. The position also delivers high quality customer service at our Library and Learning Hubs in Melton and Caroline Springs.
