What Robert would like to accomplish as a member of the ALIA Board:

As he has done throughout his 37-year career in libraries, Robert intends to optimise his position on the ALIA Board to promote and advocate for the role of libraries in all sectors.

The aggregated capacity of ALIA, through its diverse membership, provides the Board with a unique opportunity to showcase the critical role that libraries and their staff play in the many and varied constituencies they serve.

Additionally, he intends to support the continuation of ALIA's excellent representation of Australian library achievements through overseas associations and forums such as IFLA.  We have lots to offer on the global library scene.
