Statement of professional concerns:

Kim is driven to provide a voice to an underrepresented sector - Special Libraries.
This sector serves diverse organisations, has limited public visibility, often lacks public advocacy, is an unfamiliar career path, has variable but often smaller professional numbers and is ingrained within the fortunes, or otherwise of parent organisations. There is an air of mystery that surrounds this sector and she would welcome the opportunity to advocate. Kim has a diverse special library background, as well as a non-direct library role at present, so she feels that she can provide a different perspective, to compliment other members of the Board.
