Professional activities:

Justine is a regular speaker and advocate for libraries at conferences and events. She writes opinion pieces on library-related matters in mainstream media here and overseas and is often interviewed on radio and podcasts about issues relating to libraries. Justine also uses her social media following to promote libraries and their value to the community.

Statement of professional concerns:

As a board member Justine would like to focus on access and inclusion in library and information services, including: open access, advocating for decolonising collections to make them more representative of our community, and diversifying and educating our workforces to better reflect the communities we serve.  She would like to accomplish ALIA being a recognised voice and successful influencer on these topics.
