for Excellence
Achieved in Web Design, Content and Creativity
The IAWMD (International Association of Web
Masters and Designers) now serves more than 230,000 Members and Affiliates
in more than 145 Countries Worldwide! The membership comprises
of people who are interested in promoting and maintaining an ethical
and quality Internet. The association's objectives include education
and awareness, informational networking, and the development of strategic
alliances with other Internet organizations and affiliations
One of the major external services provided
by the IAWMD is the Golden Web Awards, which recognises excellence
in web development. It is highly sought after and thousands of submissions
are received each year.
The websites submitted are judged and scored
in three primary categories: Design, Content and Originality. The Golden
Web Award is awarded to designers whose web design, originality and
content have achieved levels of excellence deserving of recognition.
Only the best sites are voted to receive the Golden
Web Award. The criterion for winning remains a challenge to even
the best Webmasters, artists and designers. That being said,
the primary benefit of the Golden Web Award is the recognition of your
commitment to the pursuit of website excellence. Further, it
represents that your work is considered an outstanding website, incorporating
high standards of design, originality and content. The
Golden Web Award lets others know that you are viewed as a respected
professional by your peers, one who is deserving of recognition.
