"she could be elsewhere, and in her imagination she lived a life of wonders" – Chris Wooding

my pack
I live with lots of animals. My silver princess sk8 dog Sheeba died recently.
Sheebie and I had five years together and we met when she was about five. She had a good life, but I miss her as much as Ayesha the cat does. We grieve together.
The tadpoles turning into frogs don't quite make up for her loss. My friend SpiderSam died on the same day as Sheeba.
While Aysh doesn't grieve with me for him, I miss my friend the grasshopper more than winter misses the sun.
When more animals join the pack there's room for a donkey in the back paddock but maybe not a pigmy hippo.
What I really want is a carpet python - might not go with the cats or frogs!?
"I was a timid, shy kind of kid, and I often felt stupid and boring and awkward around people – I still do feel that way, quite often. But, as a kid, I found a sense of peace around animals, a relief from the constant worry that I wasn't a very good or worthwhile person... I think animals are really the best thing about this world" – Sonya Hartnett, 2008
