Aurora Scholarships 2008. The Aurora Board, the Australian Library and Information
Association (ALIA) and the Executive of the Australian Government Libraries Information Network (AGLIN) are pleased to announce
the winners of scholarships to attend Aurora in 2008.
The Warren Horton Scholarship, from the Aurora Foundation, has been awarded to Damian Lodge, of the Centre for Information
Studies, Charles Sturt University.
The ALIA Scholarship is awarded to Aimee Herridge, of the UN Office in Geneva.
The inaugural AGLIN Aurora Scholarship recipient is Nora Martin from AUSTRAC.
Damien, Aimee and Nora will join 29 other Aurora participants from Australia and New Zealand at Thredbo in February for the 11th

Continuing Professional Development recognition. From 2004 the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) recognises attendance at the Aurora Library Leadership Institute for the ALIA Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme. Both participants and mentors, if professional members of ALIA, may claim CPD points for attending the Institute, equivalent in value to those awarded for one semester of tertiary studies. The points value for Aurora participation satisfies a full annual points requirement of the CPD Scheme. (January 2004)
