Authors Illustrators And Entertainers 2011

Many authors and celebrities are keen to be involved in Summer Reading Club programs. If you have a connection with a local author, perhaps invite them into your library to talk to your participants.

The Summer Reading Club website will be hosting three online author chats this year. Morris Gleitzman - Monday 19th December at 11am EDST Andy Griffiths - Thursday 22nd December at 12noon EDST Oliver Phommavanh - Tuesday 17th January at 3pm EDST

The website also contains a variety of content written by authors for your participants. Some of the content includes a competition section, where children can enter to win a prize. It is a great idea to promote these competitions at your library and if you have access to computers, the children can put their entries in right there!
