Authors Illustrators And Entertainers

• Invite a local author along to the library to give children instructions on how to write or illustate their own books.
• Invite a local sports person along and let the children see the equipment they use like a motorbike or surfboard.
• A person visiting from a reptile show or petting zoo and possibly bring in an animal.
• Cartooning workshop themed to wild animals.
• Scout leader to talk about wilderness survival/ bushcraft skills and teach knot tying, etc.
• Chris Cheng has written The Eyespy Book of Endangered Animals; Ginger Meggs & Friends Pet Care Book; The Eyespy Book of Rainforest Animals and The Eyespy Book of Party Animals. He has also worked as an education officer at Taronga Zoo.
• Invite the local RSPCA group to come and talk about responsible pet ownership or approaching an animal.
