ALIA CRR (Canberra and Region Retirees) Connect and Chat Event

The next ALIA CRR (Canberra and Region Retirees) Connect and Chat is on Wednesday 3 October from 11am at Bookplate, NLA. All retired Library people from Canberra and the surrounding regions are invited to come along and meet up with fellow retirees. Don't lose touch, join us for coffee or lunch. Visitors from further afield are also most welcome. Aspiring retirees are also very welcome.

Spring at the Australian National Botanic Gardens Library: a tour

The ALIA URLs Group is pleased to invite you all to a tour of the Australian National Botanic Gardens Library by the current librarian, Jane Black.

Come along and see the Library and its collections, and admire the ANBG in the springtime. 

Places are limited to 15 people, so get your RSVPs in by the 16th of October to Francesca Higgins Francesca.Higgins@acu.edu.au.

Connect and Chat is held once a month on the first Wednesday of each month. For your diaries here's the schedule for the next few events:

 

ALIA CRR Connect and Chat

ALIA CRR (Canberra and Region Retirees) next Connect and Chat event will be held from 11am Wednesday 1 August 2018 at Bookplate, NLA.

This is a monthly event that allows retirees and those aspiring to retire to keep in touch with Library folk from Canberra and surrounding regions. All are welcome and there is no need to book, just turn up.

ALIA URLs: Visit and tour of John Howard Library, Australian Museum of Democracy

Come along and see the brand new Howard Library at the Australian Museum of Democracy. Established by the Public Leadership Research Group, University of New South Wales Canberra, the collection includes non-official documents, personal papers and memorabilia from John Howard’s time as Prime Minister of Australia between 1996-2007.
