Volume 38 Nº 3: November 2002 CBCA Book of the Year Awards 2002 announcement dayEve MorrisseyThe Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Book of the Year Awards winner and honour books announcement day is the culmination of eighteen months work for all involved in the promotion of the CBCA Awards. Little wonder then that it is looked forward to with a mixture of excitement, apprehension and anticipation! Excitement built with each email informing the CBCA National Executive about who is coming - the wonderfully talented authors and illustrators who created the Award-winning books. It is hard not to let slip more information about the ceremony than 'Do come, I'm sure you will enjoy the guests'! Also, 'Come to the dinner in the evening, I know you will mingle with some interesting folk'!...
