Readership

INCITE masthead

INCITE is the premier monthly news magazine for library and information professionals. It is delivered to over 6 000 members and subscribers in Australia and overseas, and has an estimated readership of about 20 000.

So who reads INCITE?

ALIA's 6000 personal and institutional members, located in Australia and around the world receive INCITE each month, with an extended circulation estimated at 25,000 active library and information professionals. 37% of our personal members are aged between 30-50, while just under 50% are aged 50 or above.

Our typical reader is tertiary qualified and at least 30% are actively engaged in ongoing professional development programs at any one time. Just over 50 % of the membership work fulltime, while 10% are retired but remain active in the profession.

Our member survey in 2009 revealed a significant proportion of our membership are currently employed in middle or senior management in our library and information services. These professionals have significant disposable income and are experienced in strategic management. They are typically politically and socially aware and they live well, with a leisure interest in travel, the arts, lifestyle and investment.

That's who you're talking to when you advertise in INCITE.
