ALIA annual reports

ALIA has traditionally printed and distributed copies of its Annual Report and Financial Statements to all members.

The Association is not bound to do this under ASIC regulations and Company Law. We are bound to provide copies to members who request them.

We know from last year's renewal process that many members have opted to receive the Annual Report in electronic form. We also know that many members would have opted not to receive the Annual Report but just to access it on the website if that had been presented as an option.

The Association can make substantial savings by not printing thousands of annual reports and there are clear environmental advantages in avoiding the printing and distribution of those same copies.

We have therefore made the decision that the 2011 Annual Report (including financial statements) will not be printed.

The report will be made available on the website in a downloadable format.

Members will have the option to request a copy of the Annual Report either as an email attachment or in hard copy format should they prefer that format. You can make such a request by sending an email to membership@alia.org.au or calling your membership team on 1800 020 071.

Recent editions of inCite have focused on environmental and sustainability issues and we hope that you support this initiative that reflects the Associations efforts to live those slogans.
