'A footnote to a footnote'

Regarding Larry Amey's article 'When libraries made headlines'; the author refers to an Untitled collection of newspaper clippings on the Munn-Pitt Report by the Carnegie Corporation of New York [undated]. Access to this collection provided by the owner, Dr Norman Horrocks.

This collection of clippings, gathered by the Carnegie Corporation of New York was given to me by Ralph Munn when I was working on my dissertation - cited as Footnote 3. A few years ago I donated it to the National Library of Australia. I'm sorry that I don't have the precise date of this gift but it was between July 1995 when I returned to Canada and Warren Horton's retirement. Maybe it is shown in the NLA Catalogue?

Norman Horrocks, editorial consultant, Scarecrow Press and Emeritus Professor, School of Library and Information Studies, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
